New USCIS Filing Fees and H-1B Rules

1.  The registration for the H-1B lottery opens on March 6, 2024 until March 22, 2024.

2.  The new H-1B lottery registration will require the H-1B candidates to be tied with their passport for information, so multiple (or different) registrations of the candidate may disqualify them,.

3.  New USCIS Filing Fees will take effect on April 1, thus new H-1B cap cases will be required with the new filing fee.

4.. H-1Bs can be filed electronically starting on Feb. 28.

UPDATE FEB 6, 2024: Just a clarification on the new rules affecting the H-1B lottery:

1.  As stated, the new USCIS filing fees will take place on April 1, and therefore the H-1B registration fee is unchanged ($10) for this year since the registration is before April 1. 

2.  Multiple registrations by different companies for the same candidate ARE allowed.  Thus, the candidate can be selected with different companies and the candidate can choose where to go.
